I’m Dr. Kristhy Moreno, board-certified specialist in Obstetrics & Gynecology, trained at Universidad de Los Andes (ULA) and currently pursuing a sub-specialty in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV), in Caracas. Since 2013 I’ve cared for women with warmth and clinical rigor so they feel safe and supported.
I trained at Universidad de los Andes (ULA) and Hospital Central de San Cristóbal, managing emergencies, surgeries, and high-risk pregnancies while prioritizing maternal-fetal safety.
I build personalized plans with clear communication and active listening, so every decision is made with confidence and understanding.

My Care Philosophy
The doctor-patient relationship comes first: I listen, accompany, and respect your decisions to deliver humanized care.
I guide every reproductive stage with clear communication so you understand each step and feel supported and safe.
I use evidence-based protocols and multidisciplinary teams when needed, blending clinical precision with genuine warmth.
For more than a decade I accompanied pregnancies, surgeries and consultations in San Cristóbal. Today I'm taking the step I dreamed of from the very first time I held an ultrasound probe: I am in Caracas, pursuing a sub-specialty in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Universidad Central de Venezuela.
It is the most advanced training that exists for caring for a baby before birth, and I am doing it with you in mind. Every study I learn to read today is an answer I'll be able to give you in time tomorrow.
That is why, while this chapter lasts, I will not be seeing patients in San Cristóbal. But I haven't gone away: I'll be waiting for you in Caracas, with the same warmth as always and with better-prepared hands. I see patients by appointment in Sabana Grande (Torre Provincial), and it would be a joy to welcome you.

Maternal-fetal medicine treats the baby inside the womb as the patient they already are. These are the studies I am now training in, in Caracas: what they let us see, and what they let us prevent.

Weeks 20 to 24
An organ-by-organ tour of your baby's entire body: heart, brain, spine, kidneys, hands and feet. It is the scan that detects the vast majority of structural malformations.

Throughout pregnancy
It studies the uterine arteries and the mother's cardiovascular adaptation to pregnancy. It allows us to anticipate preeclampsia and growth restriction before the first symptom appears. The reference guideline covers uterine artery Doppler and pre-eclampsia screening.
